Kiln Emissions
Since our powder glazes in particular do not contain any organic additives, there are no harmful kiln emissions from this aspect. On the other hand, our liquid glazes contain small amounts of organic additives to achieve a good brushability, which usually combust in a range of 200-400°C (slightly sweet smell).
However, the kiln emissions that occur in total during the firing process (e.g. fluorine- and sulfur-containing residues in the clay body), has to be exhausted to the outside, particularly in the case of school or commercial use.
